LKS2 – Newsletter – 23.05.24

What a fantastic week and half-term it has been in LKS2! We are so proud of all the children’s hard work, determination and joy for learning!

Today, we have enjoyed Pattern Day! Over the course of the day, the children have engaged with various pattern related activities, which has challenged their understanding of patterns and how to apply them to different scenarios. This included: loom-band bracelet making, creating intricate jigsaws and creating dances, raps and poems! Also, this afternoon, the children worked with their class to create their own version of the book “Pattern Fish”

In mathematics this week, the students in Miss Chambers’ class worked in their groups to solve some word problems using their knowledge of time. Some of the questions involved students converting from hours to minutes and minutes to seconds and other questions required students to practice converting between analogue and digital times.

On Wednesday, the children thoroughly enjoyed the theatrical production of “Alice in Wonderland.” It was a brilliant performance, which everyone enjoyed watching and joining in with the singing and clapping along. One pupil said,”Every moment was mind-blowingly awesome!”

We hope you all have a fantastic half-term break! We will be back to school on Monday 3rd June. Children will need to be in normal school uniform please.
