LKS2 – Newsletter – 27.09.24

This week in English, the children have been writing a free verse poem. We used the poem, ‘The Quarry’, to inspire our writing. To help us imagine the setting and hunt, we got into some groups and acted it out. We then used this to come up with ideas of exciting verbs and adjectives to include in our poem.

In Science, we conducted an investigation to help us answer the question, ‘Which stone is best for grinding wheat?’. We made a prediction, conducted the experiment and collect our results in a table.

In PE, the Year 3’s have continued to learn some balances in gymnastics and have used the apparatus to help them challenge themselves.
