Year 4 – Stone Age Day – Forest School

Pupils in Year 4 travelled back in time for their Stone Age Day and became part of a prehistoric tribe who were tasked with surviving. Tribes created shelters, hunted and gathered food, created tribe symbols and standards to ward of rivals and created stores to protect their invaluable food. Pupils turned into hunter gatherers in order to provide food for themselves and sourced natural materials to create hunting weapons to catch their food or trade with other tribes. Tribes were also tasked with creating medicine and clothes to keep their tribe healthy as well as creating fire using flints to cook the food they’d ‘hunted’ or gathered throughout our Stone Age scenarios across the day.
