UKS2 – Class 9 – Geography local walk

Yesterday, the children in Class 9 went on a local walk. During this, they focused on creating a sound map of our local area. First, we learnt what a sound map is. Then, they created their own sound map whilst walking around our local area. Finally, we made links and developed our reasoned understanding for the sounds we have found. To do this, they categorised sounds into: biophonic sounds, geophonic sounds and anthrophonic sounds.
