EYFS – Forest Schools – 27.02.25

It has been a gloriously sunny morning for our Forest Schools session today. We had our regular tree-climbing and den-building zone which saw lots of activity. And we had our chilled ‘tree-bathing’ zone with blissed out music and hammocks hung amongst the trees which saw purposefully a lot less activity (but more zen vibes!).

Out in the field we all played a corners-style game to help us become more familiar with the co-ordinates north, east, south and west. Already we have been using these terms when exploring our world maps as part of our new topic ‘Around the World’ so it has been helpful to explore the concept of navigation further using the co-ordinates in a fun game.
