LKS2 – Class 5 & 7 – English

Today in English, we started our new genre of non-fiction. We looked at different example of a non-fiction text including some books from our school library. In groups, we thought about the different features that the writer had used to successfully inform us about the topic of the text. We then made a list of features that we would like to include in our own text over the next 2 weeks. Finally, we searched for examples of the features in the texts we looked at, for examples fronted adverbials, verbs and subject specific vocabulary.
