EYFS – Newsletter – 31/01/2020
Another action packed week in reception!
In Phonics this week, we have been looking at the sounds qu and ch. We have recapped using our phonic knowledge to sound out different words as well as begin to use these words to form sentences. Our sounds next week will be the digraphs sh and th.
In Maths, we have been recapping our strategies for finding one more and one less. From children on busses to dinosaurs in eggs, we have used lots of different resources to help us understand and explain to our friends how we find one more and one less.
Quick reminder that we will be taking the children to the library to scan in and change their own books on Monday. In order to do this they will need their reading book and their record as this has their unique bar code in. We are also looking forward to finding out who can move their rocket on Monday for reading 3 times a week as a number of children are getting very close to reaching the end of the chart!
