LKS2 weekly newsletter!

Happy Friday from the LKS2 teachers!! We hope you are all keeping safe, well and happy 🙂

It’s been a lovely, sunny week and your teachers have been up to all sorts…

Miss Boyd has been star gazing this week, looking out for Elon Musk’s Starlink and Venus. She also ran 5k for charity – what a fantastic thing to do! Here is a picture of her after her brilliant run:

Miss Briscoe has been busy with her family setting each other fraction challenges to solve. They have also enjoyed researching all about the Vikings and making shields out of pizza boards!

Miss Evans has been playing the piano – making music is a great way to pass the time! She has also been reading in the sunshine and, like Miss Boyd, has been going on lots of runs. She also had a bit of a run in with the chickens at school…..

Mr Gamble has spent a few days inside decorating! We’ve been taking pictures again of all our daily walks…it is such a beautiful time of year!

We hope you’ve managed to get some of the work done this week. A massive thank you to William who sent us pictures of his AMAZING work on the Egyptians. Keep it up William!

Miss Briscoe would like to give a shout out to those children in her class who she is really impressed with at the moment. Hugo and Harvey have improved their accuracy on Times Table Rockstars – amazing work, boys! Shahad and William have also done some excellent fraction work on Purple Mash!

Finally, the weekly challenge.

This week is a writing challenge. Can you write a poem about Spring? There is so much new life around us at the moment – go for your daily walk, look around at the flowers and the animals and use this to inspire a piece of writing!! We would love to see what you create, so please email any work you do this week to the school email!

We are missing you all very much, stay safe and keep smiling!
