UKS2 – Newsletter – 25/09/2020
It has been a busy week in UKS2. In PE on Tuesday, pupils worked together in their teams to find different natural materials around the field. The aim was to be as quick and as accurate as possible to earn the most team points! It was very competitive and exciting.
Also this week, UKS2 finished their first big write of the term. Composing a diary entry from the point of view of a Victorian workhouse child, the children have focused on their use of emotive language to encapsulate the experiences of their child. There have been some excellent pieces written and we look forward to seeing what the pupils can do throughout the rest of the year!
On Thursday, UKS2 revealed what makes them unique. Using ‘I am Human’ by Susan Verde as inspiration, the pupils explored their positive attributes and the things they want to improve on as they grow up. They produced some excellent work and had some meaningful discussions. Well done everybody.
Finally, after 6 months off, fluency 15 is thriving in UKS2. The children are revisiting key mathematical techniques and principles everyday to solidify their understanding in maths. Keep up the hard work!
