LKS2 – Classes 5, 6 & 7 – Forest Schools

Pupils in LKS2 began learning how to whittle a stick into a sharp point – an essential skill needed in the Stone Age. Children used potato peelers to begin with but, as their confidence and skill level increased, all children learnt how to use a whittling knife safely to create the desired outcome. In our next Forest Schools session, pupils will put this skill to the test when they try and create their own Stone Age weapon.
