Another brilliant week in Reception!

This week in Phonics we have learnt the sounds ‘a’ and ‘t’ and thought of lots of different things that use these phonemes as initial sounds. We matched pictures, searched through books and had a go at writing the letters ourselves.

In Maths we started looking at similarities, differences and patterns between difference objects and images and then finished the week using five and ten frames to compare groups of things. Everyone did a great job using the words ‘more’ and ‘less’ and even found their own examples in the classroom environment!

On Wednesday we had Forest School. We had a fabulous day creating letters using natural resources, sorting objects in different ways and having fun running and playing on the field.
