LKS2 – Class 6 – English

This week, we have been learning all about the Amesbury Archer. His grave was discovered in 2002 and held over 100 different objects. Tests resulted in dating him to the Bronze Age. From the artefacts discovered, and through scientific tests on his skeleton, we have learnt lots about his life and who he might have been. However, even 4,300 years after his death, it remains a mystery why and how he died. In groups, children acted out what could have been his final hours, with everything from battles, animal attacks, robberies and hunting!
