This week, UKS2 have started their first writing task of the half term. Focusing on the life, struggles and achievements of Mary Seacole, the children have been researching and role playing her journey to ‘The Crimea’ in order to compose a letter from her point of view. All pupils have relished the opportunity to write about the pioneering nurse and are looking forward to producing some inspirational and reflective pieces.
