LKS2 – PE

This half term, LKS2 are doing Dance in PE. Today we had a lot of fun playing some dance games to boost our confidence, and working on a skill. To start, we played the ‘copycat’ game. One person goes in the middle of a circle, and does a dance move. Everyone else has to do their best to copy the move. The children showed fantastic creativity and leadership throughout! Then we learned how to spot, which is a technique used by dancers to help them focus when they are turning. We practised on the spot, and then progressed on to travelling turns! Finally, we worked in groups to create short routines which had to include some turning to show off our new skills!
