UKS2 – Newsletter – 18/12/20
On Monday we completed the final step of the Victorian inventions series of lessons — presenting to the Cookridge Dragons! The pupils presented their company along with their inventions, using persuasive language; such as rhetorical questions. Once complete, the rest of the pupils in the class were invited to ask questions to each of the groups, to see if they really understood their products! Finally, the class voted for which group they thought presented to the highest quality and with the greatest understanding. Well done UKS2!
It is finally the last week of term in UKS2 and the children and staff have not hesitated getting in the Christmas spirit.
From beautiful Christmas colouring,
To writing about everyone’s favourite miser: Ebenezer Scrooge,
To visits from Santa,
And Christmas parties,
Unfortunately, we are bidding farewell to several members of staff from UKS2 this half term.
Firstly, Miss Chambers and Miss Bradshaw are leaving Cookridge to continue their teacher training at different schools. They have been invaluable to UKS2 since they began in September, and they will be sorely missed. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours and hope to see them back in Cookridge colours in the future.
UKS2 have had a brilliant final week and are looking forward to a relaxing end to 2020. We wish everyone a enjoyable, restful and fun filled break and we cannot wait to see you back in January, refreshed and ready to go.
Merry Christmas everyone
The UKS2 team.
