Year 3 – Class 4 – Making Roman coins and coil pots

This afternoon we have started to prepared for our Roman Market on Friday. First we practised our skills following recipes and measuring accurately using scales to make salt dough coins. We then used our knowledge of Roman numerals to label the different coins. After this we used plasticine to create our own pots using the method of layering coils of rolled clay on top of each other. The end products were very impressive and we are excited to use them on Friday! If anyone in Class 4 has anything they have made at home to bring in to use at our market they may bring it in on Friday.
