UKS2 – Newsletter – 24/05/2019
This week in year 6 we have been using our Forest Schools skills to survive the aftermath of a tsunami!
Yesterday evening, seven pupils from UKS2 attended a Pinnacle run football tournament at Rothwell Primary School. Through the group stages they did fantastically well, conceding only one goal and winning all four games. This put them through to a semi-final against East Ardsley Primary School. It was an excellent game that ended 1-1 after extra-time which led us to penalties. Ultimately, Cookridge were extremely unlucky to miss out on a final spot after losing 4-3 on penalties. All of the players should be extremely proud of themselves and the way they represented our school! Well done boys.
This week in Year 5, we have been creating poems all about earthquakes. We have been using our creativity to come up with examples of fantastic figurative language to describe this natural disaster.
