The Leeds Book Awards, which some of the pupils in Year 6 have been partcipating in, came to a thrilling climax today with the winner announced. The winning book, as voted for by primary school children from across Leeds, was Dragon Daughter by Liz Flanagan. After the awards ceremony which involved a Q&A session with the authors shortlisted, children got to meet the authors and discuss their love of reading with them and what inspires them when they write stories.
