UKS2 – Newsletter – 01.04.2022

What a fantastic Spring Term it has been in UKS2! Over the course of this term, the children have worked diligently and are certainly deserving of this Easter break.

This week UKS2 enjoyed an Easter themed session with pupils creating Easter wreaths made from willow and leaves and decorating hard boil eggs using paint. Children also loved taking part in the ‘Superlative Egg Contest’ where they had to work in teams to see who could get their egg to go the furthest, fastest or highest before creating their own egg themed games. Their final activity was creating a fire and using a tripod and boiling water to melt chocolate which pupils then used to create delicious chocolate nests. 

This week in Computing, the children learnt how to send and receive emails. They ‘received’ emails from Neil Armstrong and learnt how to respond including text and pictures.

We had some eggcellent entries for the Egg Design Competition! Well done Ruby-Grace (our first place winner), Esther (our second place winner) and Sammy (our third place winner). 

Well done to our Learnatics this week: Mah’rion, Yasmine K, Adam, Yasmine Z, Hussain and Emily.
