Two Manning Stainton branches joined forces to support the summer fund raising fayre at a local school.
The Adel and Horsforth branches of the area’s leading estate agency donated nearly £500 to the Cookridge Primary School PTA to help make the annual event a huge success, despite the awful weather.
Bronwen Ella, Chair of the PTA says: ‘The weather could have been more favourable but it did not deter families and friends from turning out in large numbers and generously supporting the many stall holders and attractions we had laid on.
‘The proceeds are still being counted but we are hopeful that the final amount will be more than last year. We could not have achieved such a result without the support of community focussed businesses like Manning Stainton.’
The money raised will be used to enhance the learning experiences of children in the school.  The PTA has previously funded a trim trail with exciting obstacles and apparatus, and made contributions to improving the ICT and maths facilities.
Sarah Joseph, Manager of the Horsforth branch of Manning Stainton adds: ‘Contributing to any initiative or activity which directly benefits children and helps them to learn is exceptionally rewarding. Lots of us have children of our own and this is a great way to show our appreciation of the incredible job teachers and other youth organisations do on behalf of our youngsters.’
Manning Stainton has been extremely active in the community in which it operates for a number of years. In 2015 alone the company donated in excess of £65,000 to over 100 worthwhile causes. Colleagues also willingly give up their spare time to fund raise for this year’s chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, under the banner ‘Mannings for Macmillan 2016.’
The Adel and Horsforth branches of Manning Stainton are open 7 days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. They are part of a 19 strong network of Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
