Local School Benefit from Manning Stainton Support

Manning Stainton has helped a local primary school raise money to improve its outdoor play area and sports facilities.
The Adel and Horsforth branches of the area’s leading estate agent donated £500 to the annual summer fundraising fair at Cookridge Primary School, expertly organised by the Parent Teachers Association (PTA).
It is hoped that the money raised from the fair and other initiatives arranged by the PTA will help towards the ambitious plan to create a new all-weather play area and running track within the school grounds.
Elizabeth Lowe, Secretary of the PTA, says: ‘Everything the PTA does and the money we raise is to benefit the school. Improving the sports facilities is a really worthwhile objective which will not only benefit the children but also the wider community.
‘Organising the fair takes a lot of hard work and I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have helped. We are also very grateful to the local business community including our friends at Manning Stainton who are such generous supporters of all that we do.’
The fair was well attended by families and friends who enjoyed a wide variety of attractions including a bouncy castle, mini golf and a tin-can alley. There was also any number of tombola’s, a grand raffle, a cake stall and a pop up cafe serving tasty refreshments. The day also saw the final of the poetry competition which had attracted wonderful and creative entries from children right across the school.
Sarah Joseph, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch on New Road Side in Horsforth, says: ‘The fair is a key date in the school calendar and it is always a pleasure to lend our support.’
Laura Fletcher, Branch Co-ordinator at the company’s Adel branch adds: ‘With the health and fitness of our young people being under the microscope like never before it is great that the school are looking to improve their sporting facilities.’
The Adel and Horsforth branches of Manning Stainton are open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day.  They are part of a 19 strong network of Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
