Class 4 – Fire Making – Forest School

This afternoon Class 4 took part in a fire making Forest School session. It began with reviewing our knowledge of fire making and fire lays before critiquing Mr Gamble’s, highlighting strengths and weaknesses in his. Afterwards, we worked in groups to make our own fires using a variety of fire lays with the aim of getting them big and hot enough to roast marshmallows on. At the end of the session, we reviewed and reflected on the session, the learning that had taken place and what we’d do differently in our next session.
