UKS2 – Newsletter – 05.07.19

It has been another extremely busy week in UKS2 with lots of exciting things happening! In Year 5 maths, they have been using their knowledge of the four operations to solve money problems and have also even started to look at BODMAS. In English, the pupils have been creating their own version of the famous Roald Dahl novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. They even got to make their own setting out of sweets!

On Tuesday, we had a whole phase science morning where we investigated the circulatory system. Pupils studied the role of red blood cells within the body and investigated the effects of exercise on pulse rate.

Also this week, Year 6 have been taking part in ‘Bikeability’ training. They have been taught how to safely ride on roads and how to ensure their bike is fit for purpose.

We look forward to seeing you at the summer fair!
