LKS2 – Newsletter – 5/7/19
Another exciting week in LKS2 finished! In English this week, we have used started a piece of work on a battle between the Picts and Romans. Following an audio clip, video clip and story passage, the we had to use our inference and prediction skills to decide what might happen next. We then created some brilliant models in groups to explain our predictions.
In Maths we have all continued our work on measure. Year 4 designed and created their own new theme park including budgeting for different attractions and deciding on ticket prices. Year 3 practised converting lengths between different units along with measuring, comparing, adding and subtracting lengths accurately.
In Science we continued our work on plants by investigating the different ways plants can disperse seeds.
On Friday we had our topic day where we discussed how the Romans impacted Britain and different reasons for why the Roman empire collapsed and the Romans left Britain.
