LKS2 – RE

Yesterday, we started our new topic in RE: which faiths are in the UK today? We started our lesson by considering what faith is; whether you have to follow a religion to have faith; and what do we have faith in. Though we didn’t have answers to these questions, we had a really interesting discussion in a respectful and tolerant environment. Following this, we strenghthned our understanding of different religions in the UK and compared the similarities and differences between them. Dependent on our table groups, we compared different religions (either Christianity and Islam; or, as a challenge, Christianity, Islam and Sikhism). Finally, we concluded our lesson by having a discussion about the different faiths in our school community and how we can respect all faiths in the UK.
