LKS2 – Class 7 – Maths

This week, Miss Chambers’ maths class have worked hard to apply their understanding of place value to order and compare numbers. 

This included using a place value chart to partition the number using counters. Then, to aid their understanding of the value of each digit, they had to identify the correct, matching pictorial representation.

Also, they chose a 4-digit number from the pot. Once they had partitioned this number using a place value chart and counters, they had to justify who had the biggest number in their pair. Finally, they completed White Rose Maths questions to order and compare numbers.
