LKS2 – Newsletter – 15.12.23

We have had a busy week in LKS2. We have worked really hard in our lessons and practising our Christmas performance. 

In English, we have worked incredibly hard to write our adventure narrative stories. We have been focusing on using speech and the correct punctuation. There has been some brilliant examples of speech and some very creative pieces of writing. The children have all worked incredibly hard to use interesting language and descriptions in their writing which is brilliant. 

In Food Technology, we did some Christmas cooking and made our very own chocolate bark. First we deigned our chocolate bark. We came up with Christmas designs like reindeer and trees.  We were then shown the method of how to melt chocolate safely before melting our own chocolate. Finally, we had to create our chocolate from the ingredients that were given to us. This included things like; pretzels, marshmallows and sweets. 

On Wednesday, KS2 had a fantastic time this afternoon watching an early viewing of Ralph Thoresby’s production of Nativity The Musical!

We were so impressed by the actors and thoroughly enjoyed the singing, dancing and acting!

• Our Christmas performance is on Wednesday 20th. Please arrive at 2pm. The doors will open at 2:05 in readiness for a prompt 2:15pm start. We look forward to seeing you there!
