We have had a fantastic day in Class 1 celebrating World Book Day. It has been fantastic to see all the creative outfits the children came in today. Thank you for your support with this! We have enjoyed reading the story of ‘Handa’s Surprise’ and as you may have spotted, the staff were dressed as Handa, Akeyo, the monkey, elephant and giraffe from the story. They then worked together to order the story and to cut out the characters from the story to retell it together. Later, we enjoyed a book scavenger hunt, looking for books containing different things like a train, a mythical creature or simply a happy ending. It was brilliant to welcome Charlie’s Mum as our Mystery reader for the afternoon to round of our day of stories and fun.
