Children’s Mental Health Week

Last week the whole school supported Children’s Mental Health Week.   The staff and the children shared stories of when they had to be brave.  It could have been jumping out of a plane, starting in a new class or even changing from packed lunch to school dinners.   The message we wanted to portray is that talking to people about how you feel when challenged in new situations is encouraged.   We all face challenges in our lives and no matter how big they are it is good to share your emotions and gain that support.

Some of the staff have shared their ‘Brave”  Mr Gamble swimming with sharks, Mr Green abseiling down a waterfall in Vietnam, Miss Evans singing a solo in a performance,  Ms Colefax leading a Rugby team,  Mrs Koopman white water rafting in New Zealand,  Mr Kershaw helping deliver his son at home, Miss Boyd jumping out of a plane,  Mr M climbing and Miss Devine completing several Tough Mudder challenges.

Be Brave, be proud and make time to talk.
