Class 9 and UKS2 organisation from January 2021

Dear Parent/carers

We shared the news with you last week that Mr Maldonado was leaving Cookridge Primary School and taking up a position as Deputy Head teacher from January 2021 in another Leeds school.

In the current climate and in order to ensure consistency in learning we will be reorganising the staff that already work in UKS2 and not currently recruiting a new member of staff. From January the staffing structure will be as below.

Class 8 – Miss Barnicoat and Miss Adamson

Class 9 – Mr Adamson and Mrs Tillotson

Class 10 – Mr Kershaw, Mrs Wilson-Hill (Miss Bennett – student teacher)

All staff are excellent practitioners, skilled in teaching across UKS2 who have high expectations for all pupils. I am confident that this model provides the most stability for the children in the interim period. Please do not hesitate to contact school if you have any additional questions.

I’d also like to inform you that Mr Kershaw was successful and has been appointed as Assistant Head teacher from January 2021.
