Classes 6&7 – Fire Making – Forest School
On a morning which started with a downpour and ended in glorious sunshine, pupils from classes 6 and 7 battled the elements to hone their fire making skills in preparation for our Roman bread making session next time. Children chose their own groups to work in to make their own fires using a variety of fire lays with the aim of getting them big and hot enough to roast marshmallows on. At the end of the session, they reviewed and reflected on the session, the learning that had taken place and what they’d do differently in the next session.
