What a fun and festive week we have had in Reception!
Christmas has been a big focus in school this week. Children have been very keen on using our Christmas postbox and have been writing letters with wish lists to Father Christmas to post to the North Pole.
Our cheeky elf Kevin has also been up to much mischief this week, but he also kindly brought in an igloo to class for the children to explore. To gain entry, the children were asked to write a letter to Kevin which they were happy to do!
A good portion of our time this week has been spent in preparations for our Christmas production next week. The children have worked so hard to learn lines, songs and dances and are really ready to put on a great show. We hope you can make it on Tuesday afternoon (17/12/19) – the show will start at 2pm, so please arrive in good time to secure your seats!
Next week, we shall be having a Christmas Party in Reception on Thursday (19/12/19), with music, dancing, games and food. If you would like to contribute any party food (fruit, buns, popcorn etc.) please send it in on Thursday.
As it is the last week of school, with lots of festive goings-on, children may wear a Christmas jumper over their uniform however this is optional so please do not feel you need to go out and buy one. PE will still be going ahead on Tuesday (17/12/19) therefore PE kits need to be in as usual.
School will be breaking up for Christmas break at the usual time of 3pm on Friday 20th December and children shall be returning to school on Tuesday 7th January.
