What a super week we have had in Reception!

We have spent time in our family groups looking that the book ‘The Dot’ by Peter H. Reynolds. After reading the story we talked about what happened, how the main character Vashti felt and how important it is not to give up. We then had a go and creating our own dot pictures using lots of different resources.

On Wednesday we went up to explore the garden and had our first forest schools session. The children had a great time meeting the chickens and the rabbits and investigating all of the different parts of the forest schools area. Back in class we used different leaves to make our own rubbings and patterns.

On Friday we have a super time in the hall for green time! With lots of different apparatus out, the children enjoyed climbing, jumping, balancing and dancing to the music all afternoon.
