EYFS Newsletter – 26/11/2021

We have had a lovely week in Reception!

This week we have spent time learning songs for our upcoming Christmas play! The children have done a brilliant job picking up the words and we are excited to start working on the acting next week.

In Phonics we have been looking at the rest of the phonemes in phase 2; h, b, f, ff, l, ll and ss. We discussed the different digraphs and where we normally find them in words. We also practised writing letters that use the one armed robot letter starter and down several cvc words using these letters. 

In Maths we have been looking at finding one more and one less. We found one more and one less using numicon, cubes, people on a bus and the song ‘Five Current Buns in a Bakers Shop’.

Next week it will be forest schools on Thursday.
