EYFS – Newsletter – 8/11/19

Welcome back to a fun-packed half-term! The children will be getting excited in the build-up to Christmas as we learn songs and speaking parts for our upcoming Christmas performance. 

This week we have continued to build on the children’s understanding of number. They have been enjoying the areas of provision and we have extended their knowledge of curriculum objectives in play-based learning. We have begun reading with the children and are encouraging them to read independently in a number of different ways. 

Next week we will be learning two new phonemes; e & u, and will be applying these and learning to write them using the correct motions and pencil grip.

Key dates this half term:

Parents event (Reading and Tapestry): 19th November – 4pm – Reception Class

Christmas performance: 17th December – 2pm – School Hall
