EYFS visit to Tropical World

As part of our new topic of Amazing Animals we taking Reception children on a trip to visit Tropical World on the afternoons of Monday January 13th, Tuesday January 14th, Wednesday and January 15th.

To enrich our curriculum around Amazing Animals, the children will visit in small groups with Mr Verdi to see a range of animals and learn a bit about their characteristics and their habitats. This links with the Early Years Framework objectives of Understanding the World, in particular with recognising and understanding contrasting environments in the natural world.

We shall be travelling by the school minibus and all children shall still eat lunch at school as usual before we leave. Each group of 15 children will visit Tropical World in the afternoon session and return to school in time for pick-up as usual. If you have any appointments or arrangements that would require your child to go on any particular afternoon (13 Jan, 14 Jan, or 15 Jan) please let one of the Reception teachers know by Friday 10th January 2025 and we shall endeavour to accommodate this.

Please check the form below to allow us permission to take your children out of school to attend this visit. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £1.00 to help pay towards transportation costs, which can be paid via ParentPay.

We are looking forward to the opportunity to get out of school and give the children a memorable experience as part of our new topic in January!
