KS1 – Science – Celery Experiment!

Today, we carried out an experiment using our prior knowledge of plants, their stems and what they are used for. We were investigating what would happen if we put a celery stem into water. We discussed that the water might be sucked up the stem, just like a flower stem does to keep it healthy. We added food colouring to make it easier to watch what happens to the water and the stem and will record our findings tomorrow morning!
