To Parents/Carers,

This guide might help those who are struggling to get onto Lexia at home.

As you may be aware, at Cookridge primary school we are using a programme called Lexia core 5. This is a fantastic programme that assists your child with reading, comprehension and spelling. We began a trial of this is programme earlier on in the year and it was very well received by the pupils.

Your child has been selected by their class teacher to take part in the Lexia programme and as part of their school day will be using Lexia. In order for a child to benefit sufficiently from using Lexia it is recommended that they spend 40 minutes a week on this programme. At school, we do try and accommodate this throughout the week.

Lexia is a programme that can be accessed from home as well, and to help benefit your child with their progress the more time they can spend on Lexia, the more progress they are likely to make. If you would like to assist your child with their home learning you can log onto Lexia by typing in the search engine box:

It will ask for the teachers email which is:

lexiahome@cookridgeprimaryschool.org.uk

You will then be asked for your child’s login details which are:

                                                 Password : read

Please be aware that whilst your child is using the programme they will need to be able to hear the sound from the programme as there are a lot of verbal instructions that your child will need to be able to listen to.
