LKS2 – Class 5 & 7 – English

Today we worked in groups to practise using the correct punctuation in direct speech. We were given a set of reporting clauses along with speech, and first we had to match the speech with the most appropriate reporting clause. After sticking these on to sugar paper, we had to add in speech marks, commas and other punctuation to complete the sentences. Then, we practised changing the position of the reported clause, and thinking about what happened to the punctuation when we do this.
