LKS2 – Class 5 and Class 7 – Maths

The Year 3s in Miss Evans’ maths group have made a flying start to the year! We have spent the last two days recapping place value knowledge from Year 2, and the children have really impressed us with how much they remember about 2 digit numbers. We have explored tens and ones using base ten, and had some in depth discussions about the definition of ‘value’. They have worked together to describe and make 2 digit numbers, and matching together pictures which represent various values.
