LKS2 – Class 5 – English

This week, LKS2 are focussing on poetry. We are looking at a poem called ‘Signs of Spring’, and by the end of the week will write our own poem about springtime. Today, we gathered ideas to help us plan our descriptive poem about Spring. After reading the poem, we wrote down our initial ideas about aspects of Spring we could write about in our own poem. Then we went outside to search for further inspiration. We focussed on three senses – hearing, sight and touch – and made notes as we explored. Back inside, we presented our ideas back to our table group and collated everyone’s descriptions on a mind map.
