LKS2 – Class 5 – Science

Today in Science, we recapped the important functions of bones. We remembered that bones offer support, protection and enable us to move. We then conducted a scientific investigation to answer the question, ‘Does the length of the femur affect the distance we can jump?’ We made a hypothesis about the question, discussed the method and equipment and then began the investigation.  We started by measuring the length of the femurs in our group. We recorded this in a table and then we went outside and jumped. After each jump, we measured and recorded that distance. After we finished we discussed our findings as group. We discovered that the length of the femur does not affect the distance jumped.
