LKS2 – Classes 4, 6 & 7 – Forest School
Today in Forest School pupils in LKS2 refreshed and recapped their fire making skills with the aim of making Roman bread on an open fire after the half-term holidays. Groups were tasked to create a fire using a recognised fire lay, thinking about the needs of the fire in order to grow it and make it large enough for cooking. If pupils managed to create a fire which had the required heat for cooking, children enjoyed roasting marshmallows. Pupils had to be resilient and problem solve together in order to achieve. Afterwards, we reflected and reviewed on our progress in the session and how we’d move forward in the next session.
