LKS2 – Donkey Sanctuary

As part of a ten week programme, a group of pupils from LKS2 visited the Donkey Sanctuary in Eccup for their first session and thoroughly loved it. On arrival, pupils were given a tour of the buildings,  barns and fields and learnt about the health and safety of the site, including how to spot hazards and reduce the risk. Then, they learnt how to stay safe around the donkeys before getting to visit them. Over the coming weeks, pupils will learn five modules including donkey behaviour, nutrition, health and donkey welfare.
