LKS2 Geography

This week our focus in Geography was to identify the position and significance of the Equator, the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. We began with an iterative recap on what we had learnt in Geography so far, by playing ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’. This tested our knowledge of key geographical information, and Millionaires were made through their fantastic retention of this! We then went outside and used giant chalk to draw the Earth and label the Equator, Northern and Southern Hemispheres and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. To conclude our learning, we wrote our own blurb into our book to summarise our learning.
