LKS2 Newsletter 26/1/21

Good morning LKS2!

We hope you had a fab weekend and have hit the ground running this week. We continue to be so impressed by your positive attitudes and eagerness to carry on learning in the current situation. Thank you for working so hard!

The past week has seen some fantastic work being produced in Year 3 and Year 4. The children have demonstrated great resilience in the face of tricky Maths topics such as perimeter and area, impressive writing skills in their English ‘Wishing Well’ stories, and wonderful creativity in Art and Music. These pictures are just a taste of some of the brilliant work that has been sent to us:

Some of you have enjoyed exploring your creative sides even more – have a look at this incredible drawing by Sevi in Class 5:

…and Kate, also in Class 5, has started her very own Art Gallery!

We’d also like to make a special mention of Emmit, who last week was working hard with his dad in the kitchen, preparing food for the homeless. We thought this was such an inspiring thing to do, and a selfless use of his time – well done Emmit!

Competitions reminder!

There are two competitions that you can take part in this week.

LKS2 are running a ‘Bake Off’ competition – bake your favourite tasty treat and send us a picture! Well done to all who have taken part so far, we’ve had some mouth watering entries!

There is also a whole school Marble Run competition – create your own marble run and send us a picture or a video of it in action. Have a look at the website post from last week for more information.

If you would like to enter either (or both!) competitions, send an email with your photos/videos to lowerkeystage@cookridgeprimaryschool.org.uk

As always, if you have any questions or want to share what you have been up to at home, please don’t hesitate to send us an email.

Stay safe and keep smiling!

The LKS2 Team 🙂
