LKS2 Weekly Post!

Happy Friday!

We hope you have all had a wonderful week (even though the weather hasn’t been great).

We have had a lot of emails this week from children showing us the amazing things they have been doing.

Thanks to Ella in Class 7 who has sent in images of her outstanding longboat creation! She has also been writing lots of stories and poems and reading many, many books. She has had fun completing many of the Viking challenges and has come up with some fabulous creations. Well done Ella!

Also a big thank you to Mabel for sending in pictures of the amazing rainbow she has made out of clay and a large rainbow drawing she has coloured in to support our front line heroes. Beautiful work Mabel!

A shout out to William in Class 7 for reading all of these books! What a superstar. Thanks to Bailey, Hugo and Sevi for making these brilliant rainbows.

Also to Olivia in Class 5 who has been working on her fractions! Keep it up Olivia.

Toka, Joseph and Leo in Class 5 have all improved their soundcheck scores on Rockstars in the last 10 days, very impressive!

We have also been getting up to lots of fun activities…

This week, Miss Boyd has been going on a few walks and getting stuck in the rain! She has been video calling her friends and family and has even been playing Harry Potter Monopoly! She has planted some herbs such as coriander and sage and has even planted a cactus!

Miss Evans has been busy volunteering making visors for the NHS. These will go into hospitals in Leeds to help protect the wonderful people working there. She has also spent some time reading and has learnt some new pieces on the piano. She is also trying to look after her cacti but she doesn’t think they are doing very well!

Mr Gamble has been free from decorating this week and has been doing some observational drawing with his children. They have been creating planes for flying and writing to a friend about their morning. They have also started to write a story about a Forest Queen and have drawn rainbow pictures that are in the window of their local residential home.

Miss Briscoe has been capturing nature with her photography skills and also been tree watching with her children.

Mrs Pattinson has been recycling old balls of wool and turning them into rainbows, how creative!

A reminder to everyone that there will be some new work put up on Monday and for everyone to remember to send in their rainbow pictures!
