Nurture Group – Forest School
This afternoon we took our whittling skills to the next stage by whittling for a purpose. Now the basic skill has been securely learned, pupils whittled a stick into a point to make a drawing and writing implement. Once finished, children then mixed together charcoal and water to create a dark texture. Finally, they dipped their sticks into the mixture then used sugar paper to write and draw on. Afterwards, we ended the session with sensory circuits where pupils enjoyed time on the ninja slackline and visiting the animals where they fed and brushed the guinea pigs.
