Year One got a very important message from Captain Brownbeard this morning. He needed our help. He needed us to plan, design and build a new pirate ship. His ship needed to have a deck to carry all of his treasure on and a mast and sail to help it travel at speed. We thought about which material would be best to make his new ship from so that it would float and be strong enough to carry the treasure.
After we completed our boats, Captain Brownbeard challenged us to add an anchor to our boat. We each created an anchor using a wheel system to ensure it could be lowered and raised. We all succeeded in Captain Brownbeard’s challenge. What a busy day!
