Reception – Forest School

What a fantastic morning we had outside in the school grounds doing our Forest School activities. There were four tasks to complete involving games and challenges. On the field, we had to work as a team to ‘cross the river’ using tarps, play hide and seek staying within a set boundary and observing the rules of the game and playing ‘This is not a stick’ where we had to use our imaginations to turn our sticks into another objects and come up with actions for them. The final activity was in the stone circle using a fire pit. We were taught how to move carefully around a fire and how to safely add a stick onto a live fire.
